Polo has an active Historical Society which meets regularly. In the past they
have undertaken restoration projects which preserve and improve the buildings
of the area.
The future of the Polo Historical Society is dependent upon the active
participation of its members and friends. Polo's history is prominent today
because friends and members in the past have been generous with their time,
talent and money. We need to continue the tradition.
The Society meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in the
Aplington House Museum. Business meetings are followed by a program and
refreshments. New faces are always welcome. Call 815-946-4142 for information
in joining this worth-while and important organization.
